New iLumina records

Marine botanical specimens - the first of a many images representing the slide collection of Dr. Wilson Freshwater - were recently added to iLumina. The Science of Spectroscopy, a NASA-sponsored project established in the summer of 1999, is an educational wiki that explains spectroscopy, the use of light to study matter. It provides an introduction to light and its uses in space science, astronomy, medicine & health, environmental research, and consumer products. The ultimate goal of the site is to become the most comprehensive source of information on spectroscopy available free of charge. It is in both French and English, and users who register (which is free) can edit entries, upload files, and create watch lists.
