The Science of Spectroscopy, a NASA-sponsored project established in the summer of 1999, is an educational wiki that explains spectroscopy, the use of light to study matter.
It provides an introduction to light and its uses in space science, astronomy, medicine & health, environmental research, and consumer products. The ultimate goal of the site is to become the most comprehensive source of information on spectroscopy available free of charge. It is in both French and English, and users who register (which is free) can edit entries, upload files, and create watch lists.Fun Based Learning is a site designed by a former middle school teacher/computer programmer to be a resource for teachers and beginning chemistry students. It
provides free online chemistry learning games: Chembalancer teaches balancing chemical equations and Element Quiz teaches element symbols, names, and facts. It also provides for teachers a template for designing quizzes and lesson plans for chemistry topics.
